Continuing Education: 5 Contact Hours All contact hours may be obtained by Independent or Home Study methods. Tennessee is a part of the Interstate Compact License group that recognizes and permits nurses to practice in group states under their home state license. License renewal must be obtained under the home state license requirements.	APNs must select current certification as one of the two items for demonstrating competency for renewal of RN license. List includes: 5 CE, satisfactory employer or peer evaluation, satisfactory pt/client relationship, contract renewal or reappointment, written self evaluation based on standards of competence, initial or continuing national, identification of 2 goals and nursing knowledge, skills or ability, nursing instructor, published article, 2 week refresher course, 2 week orientation program, 1 hours credit in nursing program, successfully retaken national licensure exam.	NURSING EDUCATION OF AMERICA^® is Accredited as a Provider of Continuing Education in Nursing by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). The ANCC is the credentialing division of the American Nurses Association.	Lapsed license. Could be found in violation of practicing without a license with citations imposed. The Board has the authority to revoke a license if the licensee obtains or attempts to obtain, by fraud or deceit, a license to practice nursing.
