Approved Providers: Failure to meet requirements:

Continuing Education: 24 Contact Hours

Completion of education by home study is is permitted for all 24 Hours.

Those licensed by examination after October 1, 2002 must have completed a 4 hour course related to Board functions, Nurse Practice Act, regulations, professional conduct and accountability by their first renewal date.

 

 

 

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Certified Nurse Midwives with prescriptive authority shall earn, as part of the required 24 Board-approved or Board-recognized continuing education contact hours for license renewal, 6 hours of pharmacology content specific to prescriptive practice in the approved area for collaborative practice.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists shall earn, as part of the required 24 Board-approved or Board-recognized continuing education contact hours for license renewal, 6 hours of pharmacology content specific to prescriptive practice in the approved area for collaborative practice.

Board-recognized national or state approving body of continuing education.

Use other State Board Provider Numbers, or ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) accredited providers: NURSING EDUCATION OF AMERICA® is Accredited as a Provider of Continuing Education in Nursing by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

Failure to meet the requirements shall be cause for the license to lapse. Nurses may not work without a valid license. May be subject to disciplinary action.
